Do It Now, Don’t Wait
This past Sunday, Susan Norman Vickers – our Youth Pastor announced to the congregation she was diagnosed with stage four cancer. WOW! Her breast cancer had returned….and as we listened to her story and how she negotiated with her doctor for at least 6 ½ more years so she could see her only son graduate from college, I couldn’t help but wonder….how many people are living their life putting things off that they want to do?
Having a conversation with that difficult employee for fear you might hurt their feelings? Firing that employee that is not a team player, and refuses to get on board with the mission & vision of the organization? Planning that family trip to somewhere you’ve always wanted to go? Applying for that dream job that you never thought you were qualified for? Leaving that abusive relationship because you have justified things in so many ways? Telling someone that they are toxic and you are not able to be around them anymore? Avoiding going to church because you had such a bad experience as a child? Blaming others for your circumstances instead of taking action?
Give yourself permission to DO IT NOW, DON’T WAIT!
